One would think it best to leave pantry doors closed to the eyes of passers by. This is not the case in my house, where my daughter and I seem to be waging a war — she leaves open, whilst I prefer closed — over opened/closed doors to our pantry. A messy pantry at that!
The war wages on . . . as several times each day I walk past the pantry and shut the doors.
The next trip past I find them open and I close them once again . . . this can go on all day long.
I seriously think something is amiss with my daughter’s need for open pantry doors. She would never think of leaving any other kitchen door open, so why these doors? Does she have some sinister ‘need’ to show all our pantry pots & pans and foods as if they are our fine china on display? It is storage — nothing more than storage — so I am at a loss as to why she has this need to always have the doors open!
